The staff of the Migration Bureau's head office in Christchurch, New Zealand have safely exited from the city's CBD following yesterday's 6.3 aftershock.

 The modern construction of the office building helped prevent serious injury and evacuation procedures ensured that everyone made a speedy exit. The company's computer systems are still functioning and client files are secure. Although there may be some short delays, from tomorrow it will be business as usual and all efforts will be made to ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum. We appreciate your understanding.
